VP of Engineering (Quantum Hardware)

Location: Denver, CO, United States

Salary: $190,000–$230,000 per year, plus performance bonuses and equity options.

What you will do

• Lead engineering programs from design through production and deployment.
• Drive accountability for timelines, milestones, technical outcomes, and engineering metrics.
• Manage and develop engineering managers and individual contributors while hiring and retaining talent.
• Partner with Product, R&D, Operations, Qualification, and Production to align roadmaps and transition designs into manufacturing.
• Implement scalable processes including program management, design reviews, and change control.
• Guide system architecture decisions, engineering tradeoffs, and resolution of complex technical challenges.

Requirements

• 15+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in hardware or deep-tech environments.
• Demonstrated delivery of complex products from concept through production.
• Strong systems-level thinking and understanding of integration and manufacturing.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Ability to collaborate with engineers across US and international regions.

Nice to have

• Experience with cryogenic systems, quantum technologies, or similar advanced hardware.
• Background in New Product Introduction and scaling products to production.
• Experience working closely with R&D organizations.
• Startup experience.
• Experience managing global teams.
