Quality Lab Technician, 2nd Shift, 2 PM to 10 PM (CMP Pads)

Location: Aurora, Illinois, United States; on-site, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. Weekend shifts and overtime may be required based on business needs.

Salary: $24–$27 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do

• Perform analytical, physical, and visual testing of incoming materials, intermediates, experimental products, final products, and customer return samples.
• Enter results into SampleManager and identify deviations or non-conformances involving products, instruments, and quality standards.
• Verify and calibrate test equipment according to manufacturing recommendations and test methods, supporting data integrity and ISO 9001 compliance.
• Analyze data and trends, prepare reports for internal stakeholders, and create Certificates of Analysis for customer shipments.
• Maintain laboratory work instructions and assist with developing new methods and instructions.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and productive environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as Chemistry or Biology, and/or at least one year of quality laboratory experience.
• Technical knowledge of laboratory analytical equipment and general testing methods.
• Understanding of basic statistical methods, including SPC and SQC.
• Ability to follow organizational concepts and complex processes with strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Flexibility to work the specified second shift, with occasional weekend shifts or overtime as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with statistical software such as JMP or Minitab.
• Experience with SampleManager.
