PLS Associate Chemist 1

Location: Oakdale, Minnesota, United States; full-time onsite. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Compensation: $22.00–$24.00 per hour.

Pace Life Sciences provides contract CMC development, clinical trial material manufacturing, regulatory compliance, consulting, facility support, and analytical testing services for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and gene therapy industries.

What you will do

• Perform fundamental chemistry and biochemistry testing of raw materials, products, and devices using standard analytical instruments and approved procedures.
• Review, interpret, document, and present testing results, trends, findings, proposals, and recommendations.
• Complete and process chemistry and biochemistry forms, databases, reports, and related documentation.
• Audit testing processes, equipment, procedures, and operational data; investigate and resolve discrepancies or escalate them to support quality assurance.
• Clean, maintain, prepare, and calibrate laboratory equipment, samples, and work areas.
• Support chemistry, biochemistry, and cross-functional projects while coordinating with staff, management, customers, and project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Knowledge of fundamental chemistry and biochemistry principles, testing methods, laboratory instruments, calibration, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to perform professional-level laboratory analysis, interpret results, prepare reports, and resolve chemistry or biochemistry issues.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team member, train others, communicate with customers and colleagues, and contribute to projects.
• Business English proficiency is required.
• Ability to work onsite in a laboratory and office environment and handle exposure to chemicals, fumes, gases, and noxious odors.
