develops the Platform, a data integration, management, and delivery platform based on a logical data virtualization approach.
What you will do
- Develop strong expertise in the Platform and deliver technical presentations covering its features, services, differentiation, and competitive positioning.
- Answer technical questions related to customization, integration, enterprise architecture, and product functionality.
- Build or lead custom deployments based on and beyond client requirements.
- Train clients on product architecture, configuration, and use of the Platform.
- Provide technical consulting, training, support, and customer-focused feedback to Product Management, Sales, Support, and Development.
- Manage deliverables and client expectations while developing technical documentation, presentations, white papers, and training materials.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in data management or analytics software.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational and analytical database management.
- Experience with Java development, especially in web and database environments.
- Knowledge of JDBC, XML, and Web Services APIs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, listening, collaboration, and continuous-learning skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Experience with Big Data and NoSQL environments such as Hadoop and MongoDB.
- Experience with caching technologies such as JCS.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and UNIX server environments.
- Experience with data warehouse, ETL, business software implementation, packaged application integration, mission-critical software, customer meetings, and technical documentation.
- Foreign language skills.
