Senior Data Engineer

Location: Georgia, United States; 100% remote within the United States

Salary: USD $110,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, and own scalable data pipelines and platform components using Databricks and Palantir Foundry.
• Develop robust schemas, medallion architecture patterns, partitioning strategies, and performance optimizations with PySpark and SQL.
• Implement cloud-native orchestration, CI/CD, automated testing, and validation for data services.
• Lead data-platform onboarding and migrations while developing reusable libraries, templates, and shared components.
• Champion data quality, observability, security, and governance.
• Communicate technical tradeoffs and recommendations to program leadership, stakeholders, and CDC partners.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with PySpark, SQL, distributed data processing, and enterprise-scale data engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, owning, and maintaining end-to-end production data pipelines.
• 5+ years of experience with data architecture, schema design, medallion architecture, partitioning, and performance optimization.
• At least 2 years of hands-on Databricks experience, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and job orchestration.
• At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and Azure Storage, or equivalent AWS/GCP experience.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry, stakeholder collaboration, technical presentations, cross-functional leadership, and supervising others. A bachelor's degree and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination are required. Background and drug screening must be passed.
