What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain relational and object-oriented databases.
• Develop database parser software, loading software, schemas, queries, scripts, and macros.
• Translate business and IT requirements into usable database structures and master data files.
• Design database structures within broader system architectures, balancing data volume, users, distribution, response times, retention, security, and domain controls.
• Analyze and support system improvements, optimization, development, and maintenance efforts.
• Support projects from requirements definition through system acceptance testing and Initial Operational Capability.

Requirements

• Ten years of experience as a database engineer on programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university; five years of database engineering experience may substitute for the degree.
• DoD 8570.01-M compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II.
• At least two years of experience with PostgreSQL.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with an appropriate current polygraph is required.
• Ability to receive privileged access rights.
