Drafter 4 (NSSS Mechanical System Engineering)

Location: United States; Corvallis, Oregon, United States; Remote. Employees within a 30-mile radius of a current NuScale office must work onsite four days per week. Employees outside that radius but within the contiguous United States may work remotely and travel as required for business needs.

Target pay range: $42.57–$51.38 annually. Full pay range: $38.17–$59.70 annually.

What you will do

• Generate 3D parts and assemblies in Siemens NX.
• Develop geometry for FEA and CFD analysis models.
• Prepare process flow diagrams, process and instrumentation diagrams, line drawings, and report figures.
• Create, review, and manage engineering drawings, design documentation, drafting standards, and procedures.
• Maintain CAD part metadata in Aras and support PLM standards and processes.
• Provide informal training and technical guidance to less experienced staff.

Requirements

• Associate degree in drafting, engineering graphics technology, or pre-engineering from an accredited college or university.
• At least 8 years of directly relevant full-time professional experience and demonstrated proficiency with drafting standards and best practices.
• Expertise with Siemens NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, SmartPlant 3D, and SmartPlant P&ID; equivalent experience with other CAD platforms may substitute for some tools.
• Experience with Aras or equivalent PLM software and an in-depth understanding of CAD tools and drafting practices.
• Strong technical writing, communication, organization, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
