Structural Designer (Renewable Structural)

Location: Remote or in-office in Lakewood, Colorado; applicants must be authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Salary: $32.00–$47.00 per hour, full-time.

What you will do

• Design and draft steel, concrete, and foundation systems for utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, and substation projects.
• Develop structural drawing packages, including foundation plans, reinforcing details, steel framing plans, connection details, loading diagrams, fabrication drawings, and installation details.
• Support engineers with design calculations, construction details, and material take-offs.
• Review and coordinate designs, vendor drawings, and submittals for accuracy, constructability, code compliance, and project specifications.
• Perform limited field inspections to verify as-built conditions and support construction teams.
• Coordinate structural systems with civil, electrical, and mechanical disciplines.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of drafting, design, engineering, or related experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Associate degree in a related field preferred.
• Strong command of English with effective written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including IBC, ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, and IEEE.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States is required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D or MicroStation.
