U.S. Senior Export Control Operations Lead

Salary: $107,000–$230,000 USD annually. An additional pay range of $134,750–$192,500 is also listed.

What you will do

• Determine and document export jurisdiction and classification for hardware and technology under the EAR and ITAR, including ECCNs, CCATS support, de minimis, and foreign direct product analyses.
• Manage export licenses, TAAs, MLAs, license exceptions, ITAR exemptions, provisos, and audit-ready documentation.
• Conduct end-use, end-user, destination, restricted-party, embargo, sanctions, KYC, and diversion-risk screening.
• Manage deemed export reviews, nationality-based access assessments, licensing determinations, and Technology Control Plans.
• Support audits, gap assessments, corrective actions, regulatory monitoring, training, and updates to export procedures.
• Lead process improvements and evaluate automation, digital tools, and AI-driven solutions for export compliance operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain, engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of U.S. export control experience covering the EAR, ITAR, and U.S. sanctions.
• Hands-on experience with complex classification, licensing, screening, deemed exports, and technology control requirements.
• Strong analytical, judgment, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with Global Trade Management or ERP-based compliance tools.
• Ability to work in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA.
