Senior Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing Technology)

Salary: $116,071–$181,361 annually; annual bonus target: 11%

What you will do

• Develop asset management plans and preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Support maintenance and operations with equipment troubleshooting, failure evaluation, repair recommendations, and improvement ownership.
• Monitor manufacturing processes using Uptime Software, Aspen Process Explorer, and statistical process control to identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead reliability and safety Root Cause Analysis teams, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and Process Hazards Analyses.
• Identify critical spares, support Management of Change activities, and participate in Design for Reliability, Maintenance, and Inspection for new equipment and capital projects.
• Lead or participate in vibration monitoring, lubrication analysis, thermography, start-ups, testing, turnarounds, and other non-routine plant activities; travel is less than 10%.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with fixed and/or rotating equipment and maintenance and reliability best practices.
• Knowledge of materials science, material selection, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel and Piping Codes, API Codes, welding, fabrication, and repair procedures.
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing, third-party fabricators, root cause failure analysis, and FMEA.
• Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, individual-contributor, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• 10 or more years of mechanical engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of SAP-PM, SAP-MM, and maintenance work management systems.
• API 510, API 570, or API 653 certification or familiarity with these standards.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, production systems, Process Safety Management, high-hazard processes, or chemical manufacturing.
