Senior Maintenance Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Decatur, Texas, United States; onsite maintenance support in a manufacturing environment

Salary: $91,000–$114,000 per year, plus annual bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day technical support and long-term guidance to the maintenance organization.
• Conduct root cause failure analyses and lead investigations to prevent recurring equipment failures.
• Identify high-risk “bad actor” equipment and develop corrective action plans to improve OEE and reduce maintenance costs.
• Design and implement preventive maintenance schedules and use predictive maintenance data to anticipate equipment issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on the design, modification, and optimization of production equipment and systems.
• Train maintenance staff and analyze spare-parts requirements to support operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial, manufacturing, or similar environments, including 2+ years in a maintenance department.
• Experience with root cause failure analysis, investigation meetings, maintenance restoration techniques, and complex process systems.
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, or oil analysis.
• Experience with reliability-centered maintenance, FMEA, or similar reliability methodologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP, plus strong problem-solving, communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience managing or supporting capital projects, including planning, budgeting, execution, contractor coordination, and closeout.
• Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, maintainability, cost reduction, energy efficiency, and equipment uptime.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or Six Sigma principles.
