Plant Senior Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Amherst, Virginia, USA; onsite at the manufacturing plant

Salary ranges: $90,900–$170,100 (Zone A), $83,400–$155,900 (Zone B), or $75,800–$141,700 (Zone C), plus eligibility for incentive plans

What you will do

• Lead capital projects from feasibility and business justification through detailed engineering, equipment selection, installation, commissioning, and vertical start-up.
• Manage commercialization projects and participate on cross-functional teams as a technical resource.
• Improve equipment and systems efficiency, reduce costs, and deliver operational upgrades.
• Provide day-to-day and long-term technical support to Operations and Maintenance teams.
• Identify process maintenance and continuous improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of manufacturing or plant engineering experience, with 2+ years of related experience stated.
• Experience planning, analyzing, approving, and executing capital projects, including cost management, scheduling, quality control, commissioning, and training.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong technical, conceptual, systematic, interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership skills.
