Manager, Engineering - Originations

What you will do

• Lead test automation strategy and frameworks across multiple scrum teams, covering frontend functionality, regression, smoke testing, backend APIs, and integration testing.
• Define standards for test quality, reliability, maintainability, and coverage, while identifying flaky tests and quality risks.
• Coordinate release planning and execution with DevOps and platform engineers, improving deployment stability, rollback readiness, and release predictability.
• Facilitate Agile and Scrum practices across teams and guide improvements in velocity, throughput, delivery discipline, and engineering effectiveness.
• Track DORA metrics, sprint health, delivery trends, risks, and dependencies, addressing systemic delivery issues with engineering leaders.
• Embed quality earlier in development workflows and help build a high-trust, high-performance engineering culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in engineering operations, quality engineering, delivery management, or DevOps-adjacent roles.
• Strong experience with frontend and backend test automation frameworks.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, release workflows, and cloud deployments.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum practices, modern delivery models, and DORA metrics.
• Must have the right to work in the United States without current or future Toyota immigration sponsorship or work authorization support.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive, financial services, or regulated environments.
• Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, JUnit, or Postman.
• Familiarity with AWS and containerized deployments.
• Background as a Scrum Master, Release Manager, or SDET Lead.
• Experience scaling startup-style engineering teams into enterprise delivery environments.
