Maintenance I&E Technician

Location: Underwood Dr, Pasadena, Texas, United States; onsite plant-based role.

What you will do

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve operating-unit instrumentation, electrical equipment, analyzers, and protective systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance plans and support asset condition, integrity-program, and PM compliance requirements.
• Diagnose failed or underperforming equipment, identify root causes, and apply maintenance repair techniques.
• Coordinate larger maintenance jobs with operations, supervisors, craftspeople, planners, schedulers, and engineering project teams.
• Support projects that install or modify I&E equipment and verify correct installation, configuration, and operating parameters.
• Provide safe work permits and conduct safety reviews for plant and maintenance activities, including shutdowns and startups.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least five years of plant maintenance experience with an Electrical and Instrumentation designation or NCCER Electrical and Instrumentation certification.
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship; U.S. citizenship or permanent residence is required.
• Current, valid U.S. motor vehicle operator’s license.
• Experience with instrumentation installation, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, P&IDs, schematics, loop drawings, HART communicators, PLCs, control valves, and DCS platforms such as Emerson DeltaV.
• Experience troubleshooting equipment up to 12.47 kV and maintaining VFDs, transformers, motors, UPS systems, switchgear, and motor control centers.

Nice to have

• Experience assessing work sequencing and optimizing maintenance planning, scheduling, and cost.
• Knowledge of API, ASME, ANSI, NFPA, and ISA codes.
