I&E Operations Technician (Electrical and Instrumentation)

Location: Bowling Green, Ohio, United States; on-site field work with rotating shifts, overtime, travel between locations, and occasional overnight stays

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems, including switchgear, motor controls, control loops, PLCs, and AC/DC systems.
• Maintain and repair process control systems supporting efficient plant operations.
• Identify equipment root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Support construction projects by defining scope and instrumentation specifications for new installations and upgrades.
• Operate and maintain gas turbines, high-speed reciprocating engines, medium-voltage generators, power distribution equipment, environmental controls, and distributed control systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call duty, with 10–12-hour shifts and potential overtime.
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures, loud areas, confined spaces, and elevated areas while using PPE; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, safety, and operational excellence skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PC applications, plus familiarity with process control systems and PLCs.

Nice to have

• Technician II: 2+ years of related experience, preferably in oil and gas.
• Technician III: 3+ years of technician experience, preferably in oil and gas.
• Technician Senior: 6+ years of experience with similar equipment or facilities; an associate degree is preferred.
