I&E Maintenance Technician (Instrumentation and Electrical)

Location: Terre Haute, Indiana, United States; regular overnight travel to out-of-state terminals and warehouses is required for 70–80% of the time annually.

Estimated base pay: $75,400–$99,600 per year, plus an incentive program.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and document instrument and electrical equipment across distribution facilities.
• Provide project design, installation support, and associated technical documentation.
• Support engineering and I&E personnel on new construction and improvement projects.
• Supervise external instrument and electrical contractors during major work.
• Maintain P&IDs, electrical prints, preventive maintenance programs, and equipment records.
• Train operations personnel in I&E troubleshooting and electrical work safety.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in a plant instrument and electrical department or related work.
• Strong instrumentation and controls background, including PLC/HMI installations and Modicon or Allen-Bradley PLC software such as RSLogix and RSStudio.
• Hands-on experience with control panels, field wiring, instrument calibration, 4–20 mA and 3–15 psi control loops; PID loop familiarity is preferred.
• Ability to obtain or currently hold a TWIC card and passport.
• Ability to work independently for prolonged periods, with strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to travel 70–80% of the time, including regular overnight travel.

Nice to have

• Undergraduate technical degree.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Experience with OSHA process safety management, including MOCs, PSSRs, PHAs, and LOPA.
• Prior supervisory or project management experience.
