Supervisor - Gas Maintenance & Ops

Location: Plattsburgh, New York, United States; office-based

Salary: $106,000–$132,500 per year, depending on experience

What you will do

• Supervise internal crews, contractors, and on-call emergency field distribution teams.
• Plan and schedule gas distribution construction, preventive and corrective maintenance, inspections, and training.
• Assign crews, skills, equipment, and materials to distribution projects and fieldwork.
• Lead safe and compliant responses to outages, storms, and natural gas emergencies.
• Coordinate with customers, community officials, contractors, management, and regulatory agencies.
• Manage performance evaluations, coaching, labor-relations matters, records, reports, and compliance documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience preferred; alternatively, an associate degree with 8+ years or a high school diploma/GED with 10+ years and completion of the relevant progression program.
• Knowledge of natural gas distribution construction and maintenance.
• Knowledge of federal and state industry regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain natural gas Operator Qualifications.
• Demonstrated supervisory, communication, interpersonal, multitasking, and customer-service skills.
• Availability for after-hours storms, emergencies, critical assignments, and supervisory on-call rotation.
