Supervisor, Instrumentation and Regulation (Gas System Operations)

Location: Norwalk, Connecticut, United States. Primarily field-based with daily job-site visits, driving between geographic locations, emergency restoration assignments, storm duty, and travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.

Salary: $123,580–$137,310 annually, commensurate with experience. Eligible for a potential incentive.

What you will do

• Supervise, communicate with, and direct internal and external crews across assigned geographic areas.
• Plan and coordinate pressure management and maintenance for distribution regulator stations, gate stations, critical valves, telemetry cabinets, and field instrumentation.
• Ensure instrumentation and regulation activities comply with state, federal, industry, and company standards.
• Standardize work practices and procedures across the company while controlling O&M budgets.
• Develop safety programs, monitor employee and contractor practices, and deliver technical on-the-job and vendor training.
• Administer the company-union agreement, natural gas odorization programs, on-call supervision, and emergency response assignments.

Requirements

• At least five years of related experience; experience in Gas I&R and prior supervisory experience are preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience is required.
• Strong technical knowledge of instrumentation and regulation equipment and field operations.
• Knowledge of company work practices, procedures, and the company-union agreement.
• Strong organizational, project-planning, communication, and computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain required Operator Qualifications.
