Gas Quality Control Analyst

Location: New Bedford, Massachusetts, with field travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire

Annual salary: $95,600–$106,220, plus potential incentive.

What you will do

• Support gas quality control programs covering construction, maintenance, meter service, leak survey, corrosion, damage prevention, LNG, and I&R activities.
• Inspect work sites and verify compliance with federal, state, and company standards, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Identify non-compliant conditions, recommend corrective action, and direct or stop work when necessary.
• Review work packages, procedures, mark-out tickets, mapping information, and contractor crew qualification requirements.
• Document inspection results and contribute to the annual gas inspection plan, including random inspections and re-dig activities.
• Support emergency restoration and work continuation events in assigned Gas or Electric ERP roles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years of experience in gas distribution, utilities, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Knowledge of gas construction and maintenance standards, work practices, procedures, safety requirements, assessments, and audits.
• Strong technical writing and oral communication skills; familiarity with Microsoft Office and other PC-based software.
• Availability for emergency restoration assignments and travel between Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire.
