Automation Engineer (PLC/SCADA)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement automated systems and machinery to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Program, test, and validate PLC and SCADA control systems for accurate, efficient, and reliable operations.
• Integrate plant equipment and systems to improve operational performance.
• Monitor performance, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime.
• Serve as the automation point of contact while collaborating with Production, Quality, EHS, Warehouse, and IT teams.
• Implement continuous improvements and maintain SOPs, system specifications, and maintenance records.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Industrial Automation Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in PLC and SCADA programming is preferred.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, instrumentation, process control, and interlock systems.
• Experience with PLC and SCADA technologies, including Siemens, Emerson, iFIX, or Cimplicity.
• Knowledge of ATEX regulations, Process Hazard Analysis, and regulated food or pharmaceutical environments.
• Fluent Dutch and English, written and spoken, are required.
