Engineer Electrical & Instrumentation (Junior)

Location: Kinderdijk, Netherlands; opportunities to work from home and use flexible working hours may be available depending on the position.

Gross monthly salary: €4,000–€5,000, plus 8% holiday allowance based on a 40-hour work week.

What you will do

• Support senior and lead engineers with basic and detailed electrical designs for multidisciplinary projects.
• Translate technical specifications and requirements into engineering deliverables, packages, and documentation.
• Create and update electrical schematics, as-built drawings, technical documentation, and reports.
• Maintain engineering part data in EPLAN and Teamcenter systems.
• Support troubleshooting, design integration, risk assessments, and feasibility analyses.
• Identify improvements in designs, engineering processes, data quality, and solution standardization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.
• Related work experience in the maritime industry.
• Experience with EPLAN for electrical design.
• Experience with PLM systems such as Siemens Teamcenter or similar SAP ERP tools.
• Fluent English is required.
• Strong ownership, ambition, and interest in developing technical and professional skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD for 2D/3D drafting.
• Experience with mechanical applications such as SolidWorks or Solid Edge.
• Knowledge of Dutch.
