Sr. Electrical Engineer (Mining)

Location: Kinderdijk, Netherlands; candidates must be based in the Netherlands or hold a valid EU work permit.

Gross monthly salary: €4,500–€6,250 plus 8% holiday allowance.

What you will do

• Define system-level electrical power and control philosophies for mining equipment and subsea vehicles.
• Develop conceptual and basic designs covering power distribution, safety philosophy, and system architecture.
• Perform load calculations, high-level cable sizing, power system studies, and system behavior assessments.
• Prepare functional specifications, block diagrams, single-line diagrams, and interface documents.
• Integrate electrical, electronic, automation, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Support FAT/SAT, system validation, technical delivery, and coordination with colleagues in Brazil, South Africa, and Australia.

Requirements

• Higher professional education in Electrical Engineering with experience in concept and basic design.
• Proven experience in a similar or related role; this position is not suitable for junior or entry-level applicants.
• Experience with system integration, power distribution concepts, and functional architecture.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary project teams with global stakeholders.
• Strong English communication skills; Dutch proficiency is an advantage.
• Based in the Netherlands or holding a valid EU work permit.

Nice to have

• Experience in oil and gas downstream, petrochemicals, mining, offshore, maritime, or heavy equipment.
• Experience with electrical and automation technologies for mining systems.
