Manager, Accounting (FinTech)

Location: Atlanta, GA, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 onsite days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The office is expected to transition from the Paces Ferry office to the Atlantic Station office; timing is TBD.

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close operations under US GAAP, including journal entry review, account reconciliations, consolidation, foreign currency remeasurement and translation, and allocations.
• Manage, mentor, and develop Senior and Staff Accountants through onboarding, training, goal-setting, and ongoing coaching.
• Review variance analyses and prepare reporting materials for senior management and the Controller.
• Support SEC filings, including 10-K and 10-Q financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain SOX Section 404 controls and coordinate with Internal Audit and external auditors.
• Lead close, consolidation, reporting, AI automation, workflow improvement, and accounting technology roadmap initiatives while partnering with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3–5+ years in a publicly traded, SEC-reporting environment.
• 3+ years of direct people management experience and 3+ years of SOX 404 compliance experience, including ICFR design, RCM ownership, and auditor management.
• Experience supporting 10-K and 10-Q filings and accelerated filing deadlines.
• Experience with a large ERP such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or a similar platform; advanced Excel proficiency.
• CPA certification and strong integrity when handling MNPI are required.

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Workday experience and familiarity with close management platforms such as BlackLine or FloQast.
• Big Four or national public accounting experience.
• Experience with AI-powered accounting tools, intelligent automation, or data analytics platforms.
