Manager, Accounting (FinTech)

Location: Atlanta, Georgia, United States; hybrid schedule with three days onsite each week on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. The office is expected to transition from Paces Ferry to Atlantic Station; timing is TBD.

What you will do

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close operations under US GAAP, including journal entry review, reconciliations, consolidation, and foreign currency accounting.
• Manage, mentor, and develop Senior and Staff Accountants through onboarding, training, goal-setting, and ongoing coaching.
• Review variance analyses and prepare reporting materials for senior management.
• Support SEC filings, including 10-K and 10-Q financial statements, footnotes, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain SOX Section 404 controls and coordinate updates with Internal Audit and external auditors.
• Improve close, consolidation, and reporting workflows while driving adoption of AI-powered accounting and automation tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3–5+ years in a publicly traded, SEC-reporting environment.
• 3+ years of direct people management and 3+ years of SOX 404 compliance experience.
• Experience supporting 10-K and 10-Q filings, accelerated deadlines, ICFR design, RCM ownership, and external auditor management.
• Large ERP experience with NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or a similar system, plus advanced Excel proficiency.
• CPA certification required; Big Four or national public accounting experience strongly preferred.
