Software Engineer 4 - Contingent (Workday)

Location: Minneapolis, MN or Charlotte, NC; minimum 3 days per week in the office required.

Pay range: $XXX–$XXX. The final rate depends on role scope, complexity, location, labor market, skills, education, credentials, experience, and employment conditions.

Contingent software engineering assignment supporting an HRIT Compensation product team.

What you will do

• Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables for Workday compensation products.
• Plan and size development items for sprint planning and contribute to technical strategy.
• Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy Workday solutions.
• Develop, configure, and maintain Workday integrations for assigned products.
• Review and resolve complex technical challenges while consulting with peers, managers, and client personnel.
• Lead projects, serve as an escalation point, and guide less experienced staff.

Requirements

• Must be located in Minneapolis, MN or Charlotte, NC and work in the office at least 3 days per week.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience through work, consulting, training, military experience, or education.
• At least 2 years of Workday development experience in the Advanced Compensation functional area.
• Workday integration experience with EIBs, Core Connectors, Studio, Report Writer, and Advanced Reporting.
• Technical experience with Workday Studio and BIRT reporting.
• Ability to lead initiatives, communicate complex information, and collaborate in a matrix environment.

Nice to have

• Workday or other HR systems Compensation experience.
• Experience with SAS, SQL, data management, reporting, or query tools.
• Adaptive Workforce Planning experience, including Modeling, Sheets, Reports, Dashboards, security, permission sets, user groups, and access rules.
• Experience integrating HCM with Adaptive, including user synchronization and SSO.
• Workday Extend development experience, Agile knowledge, client software engineering experience, and a BS/BA degree or higher in information technology.
