Associate Account Executive (Insurance Underwriting)

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada; travel required 10–25% of the time.

Annual base salary: $65,920–$98,880, plus potential performance-based incentive awards.

What you will do

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts in line with hirify.global’ risk appetite and underwriting authority.
• Build relationships with internal partners and brokers to develop sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Market and promote commercial insurance products to external partners and support new and renewal business.
• Identify new business opportunities and execute plans to meet retention and growth targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related discipline.
• At least one year of finance-related, insurance, or underwriting experience; one to three years is preferred.
• Knowledge of management liability, professional liability, or surety products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• Experience interacting with brokers and understanding financial statements and client loss history.
• Valid driver’s license or alternative means of transportation.
• Ability to travel 10–25% of the time.

Nice to have

• Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding designation.
• Strong critical-thinking and financial-analysis skills.
