Audit Associate (Accounting)

Location: Toronto, Canada; travel to assigned client locations required, with up to 25% travel

Salary: $57,200–$68,250 CAD per year

What you will do

• Understand clients’ businesses, industries, accounting and control systems, employees, and financial reporting topics.
• Learn and apply the hirify.global audit approach and audit tools.
• Assess risks and evaluate clients’ internal control structures.
• Perform substantive tests and tests of internal controls to identify and resolve accounting or reporting issues.
• Draft financial statements using prescribed formats.

Requirements

• Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university by the start of employment.
• Accounting major.
• Ability to travel up to 25% and arrange reliable transportation to assigned client locations.
• A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, computer, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, client-focused environment.
