Executive Underwriter, Cyber & Professional Liability

Location: Vancouver, Canada; primarily office-based with in-person collaboration

Salary: CAD $102,000–$128,000 annually, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Underwrite new and renewal commercial cyber and professional liability business.
• Manage and service an existing renewal book and produce new accounts from brokers within an assigned territory.
• Analyze coverage and tailor manuscript forms to specific client needs.
• Perform pricing analysis using data analytics and modeling tools.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, clients, and business partners.
• Achieve budget targets, maintain profitability, and support strategic underwriting initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of proven cyber and professional liability underwriting experience.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments.
• Ability to deliver difficult messages while influencing positive outcomes.
• Strong organization, motivation, ownership, leadership, and commitment to continuous learning.
• Ability to work collaboratively, support the team manager, and provide a positive influence on colleagues.
• General understanding of human behavior and interpersonal complexity.

Nice to have

• CFA, CIP, FCIP, or CRM designation.
