Location: Paso Robles, California; candidates must live locally or within California. Hybrid schedule with occasional travel to client offices, client sites, and project locations. No relocation expenses are provided.

Salary: $97,000–$150,000 USD annually.

What you will do

  • Lead specialized technical studies covering air quality, greenhouse gas emissions, health risk assessments, energy, and noise/vibration.
  • Review technical modeling using CalEEMod, EMFAC, AERMOD, HARP, TNM, SoundPLAN, RCNM, and CadnaA.
  • Prepare, review, and finalize environmental reports and studies in compliance with CEQA, NEPA, and applicable regulations.
  • Build the in-house Technical Services practice, including business planning, growth targets, budgets, workload, and financial performance.
  • Recruit, mentor, and advise staff while leading a high-performing technical team.
  • Support proposals, client relationships, business development, and identification of new market opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, engineering, Geography, Planning, or a related field; degree in progress is accepted.
  • At least four years of professional experience in air quality and/or noise compliance, including leadership and project management.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local air quality and climate-change laws, California climate programs, and local air agency permitting.
  • Deep understanding of environmental consulting, CEQA, and applicable processing requirements.
  • Expertise with environmental modeling software and Microsoft Office Suite, plus strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid Class C California driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record is required; ability to travel to client and job sites is required.
