Salary: $80,000–$110,000 annually

What you will do

  • Support transportation projects by developing technical approaches, project objectives, scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Assess environmental planning and permitting issues and conduct field investigations and research.
  • Prepare and coordinate reports, presentations, technical memoranda, environmental documents, and permit applications.
  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies, clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Organize meetings, present content, prepare summaries, and communicate project information.
  • Contribute to proposals and business development while supporting subcontractor and project team management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, environmental planning, environmental policy or sciences, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • 5–8 years of experience, preferably in environmental consulting or with a federal or state environmental agency.
  • 3+ years of experience working with and managing complex documents under CEQA and NEPA.
  • Knowledge of municipal, state, and federal rules and regulations related to environmental documentation, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with local government and transportation projects, including CEQA and NEPA document preparation and project team management.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, written communication, organizational, time-management, and Microsoft Office skills.
