HVAC & Utilities Maintenance Technician II/III (Night Shift)

Location: USA - NC - Durham - National Way. Night shift: 10:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m., Sunday–Wednesday.

What you will do

• Install, operate, maintain, and modify site facilities, utility, process, and support systems.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, process, and utility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, pumps, compressors, boilers, chillers, refrigeration systems, and purified and domestic water systems.
• Use manuals, SOPs, specifications, and workplace aids to diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic circuits.
• Recommend and implement maintenance improvements and support root-cause investigations for system failures.
• Prepare maintenance and quality documentation, including deviations, CAPA, change controls, and SOP revisions, and monitor contracted service providers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent with hands-on or vocational training, plus at least five years of general maintenance mechanic experience in manufacturing; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Alternatively, an A.S./A.A. degree in Mechanical/Utilities Technology or a Licensed Journeyman qualification with at least two years of work experience.
• Prior experience with general utility systems, boilers, electrical systems, HVAC, and refrigeration is required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, exercise judgment, troubleshoot complex issues, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Employees entering a KBI site in the US must submit their vaccination status and provide proof of an FDA-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccination if vaccinated.

Nice to have

• Universal CFC Refrigerant License.
• Experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
