Mechanic II, Maintenance (DPI)

Location: 100% onsite at the Durham, NC office; participation in an emergency and after-hours on-call rotation is required.

What you will do

• Complete preventive and corrective maintenance on GMP manufacturing equipment, clean utilities, and facility support systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair bioreactors, autoclaves, filling lines, tablet presses, robotic equipment, and other site-specific manufacturing systems.
• Monitor and maintain building, electrical, water, steam, HVAC, refrigeration, fire and life-safety systems, and facility grounds.
• Document maintenance work accurately in the computerized maintenance management system.
• Support boiler operations, chemical testing, facility upgrades, renovations, demolition, and construction projects.
• Train vendors and contractors on applicable safety, environmental, health, and company procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least four years of maintenance experience in an industrial, pharmaceutical, biotech, or manufacturing environment.
• Active, valid driver license in good standing.
• Intermediate knowledge of cGMP and ISO requirements, SOPs, building codes, and local regulations.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and facility systems independently, maintain work records, and use CMMS and tablet devices.
• Ability to work with PPE in environments containing dust and debris and willingness to learn aseptic technique and cleanroom behavior.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or advanced technical training.
• At least four years of experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry.
