HVAC Facilities Technician (HVAC)

What you will do

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment, boilers, chillers, refrigeration systems, AHUs, RTUs, condensers, exhaust fans, VAV boxes, and ductwork.
• Replace or clean filters, belts, motors, sensors, and dampers while maintaining cleanroom compliance.
• Monitor temperature, relative humidity, and differential pressure in ISO 7 and ISO 8 spaces, and respond to environmental alarms.
• Support HVAC requalification, airflow visualization, pressure balancing, environmental investigations, and root-cause resolution.
• Coordinate shutdowns, repairs, and upgrades with facility engineers, contractors, BMS/EMS technicians, QA, Validation, and production personnel.
• Maintain equipment documentation, support building maintenance, improve system efficiency, and follow safety and 5S practices, including lockout/tagout.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; minimum 3 years of industry experience and 5+ years of maintenance, facilities, or related field experience.
• Hands-on knowledge of HVAC, heating and air conditioning, airflow specifications, boilers, chillers, and advanced technical equipment.
• Verifiable HVAC education or certification and experience with CMMS systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot machinery independently, document preventive and predictive maintenance data, and use Microsoft Word, Excel, and project management applications.
• Effective spoken and written English communication; ability to collaborate across functions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, work at heights, and perform prolonged standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting.

Nice to have

• Formal training or certification in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air compression, or PLC systems.
• Five or more years of commercial facility maintenance or related equipment experience.
• Advanced engineering or maintenance training and formal lean or Six Sigma training.
• Bilingual Spanish communication skills.
