Focus on managing regional capital portfolios, developing high-performing teams, and ensuring reliable plant operations within schedule, budget, quality, and environmental requirements.

Location: Corpus Christi, Texas, United States, with required regular travel to manufacturing sites in La Porte, Texas, and El Dorado, Arkansas.

Annual pay range: $148,176–$231,525, plus a 16% annual bonus target.

What you will do

  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for capital project execution across three manufacturing sites.
  • Oversee capital portfolio planning, forecasting, design, procurement, quality, contracting, project safety, turnaround support, and infrastructure maintenance.
  • Partner with plant leadership, the Capital Portfolio Manager, and Capital Organization stakeholders to prioritize investments and align regional capabilities with business strategy.
  • Drive compliance with capital governance, engineering best practices, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement strategies and administer contracts with site-based design contractors and external engineering providers.
  • Monitor project planning and execution KPIs while supporting safe and reliable plant operations, including MOC, MIQA, and infrastructure activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • At least five years of experience managing industrial or manufacturing capital projects.
  • Experience managing people and leading high-performing teams in dynamic environments.
  • Strong communication, organization, prioritization, and continuous-improvement skills.
  • Solid understanding of plant operations, capital project execution, maintenance excellence, and engineering best practices.
  • Ability to travel between regional manufacturing sites.

Nice to have

  • Experience working with design contractors and external engineering providers.
  • Exposure to highly toxic materials and chemical manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with procurement and contract management, including T&M and lump-sum contracts.
  • Advanced degree or certification such as PMP or PE.
