Engineering Manager

Location: Boston GO & Tech Center, United States. The role is based at a US business and technical center or advanced manufacturing site, includes 10–25% business travel, and requires willingness to consider relocation throughout the career.

Salary: $85,000–$122,200 per year.

What you will do

• Lead engineering projects across technical centers and advanced manufacturing plants.
• Design and implement industrial control systems, robotics, Industry 4.0 technologies, and AI/ML solutions.
• Develop mechanical processes and equipment through modeling, analysis, prototyping, and emerging technology evaluation.
• Translate R&D innovations into scalable manufacturing processes, including packaging validation, production-line optimization, and supplier qualification.
• Develop instrumentation, metrology, sustainable engineering, infrastructure, and high-speed packaging solutions.
• Build technical capabilities and ensure HS&E and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline such as mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, chemical, materials, packaging, environmental, or civil engineering.
• 0–5 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-ops, research, or academic experience.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, root-cause analysis, data interpretation, and technical decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead projects, manage timelines and budgets, communicate with diverse stakeholders, and adapt to changes in scope, schedule, and cost.
• Willingness to relocate throughout the career; relocation support is available for qualifying candidates.
• Ability to travel 10–25% as business needs require.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial PLCs, process or machine control, sensors, motors, industrial automation, or industrial networks.
• Experience with robotics, machine vision, or Python, LabVIEW, Java, or C# programming.
• Experience with mechanical systems engineering, 3D CAD, CAE, machine design, or mechatronics.
• Experience in R&D, advanced manufacturing, technical centers, packaging processes, or precision instrumentation and metrology.
