Plant Operations Senior Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Wheeling, Illinois, United States; on-site

Salary: $109,400–$215,500 annually for Zone C; published U.S. ranges also include $120,300–$237,000 for Zone B and $131,200–$258,500 for Zone A. Eligible for participation in incentive plans.

What you will do

• Lead daily manufacturing operations and multiple production teams to deliver Safety, Quality, Service, Cost, and People results.
• Build, coach, and develop frontline leaders and hourly employees through talent development, succession planning, and performance management.
• Drive equipment effectiveness, labor productivity, waste reduction, material yield, schedule attainment, reliability, and manufacturing cost improvements.
• Implement standard work, visual management, structured problem-solving, loss elimination, and operational excellence practices.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Logistics, Safety, Supply Chain, and Continuous Improvement teams to improve end-to-end performance.
• Support site strategy, transformation initiatives, capital projects, new technologies, risk management, and long-term capability development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, including at least 5 years leading teams in the CPG industry.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP EWM and SAP S/4.
• Proven success leading teams, developing talent, delivering business results, and managing cross-functional initiatives and organizational change.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and performance management skills.
• Manufacturing operations must comply with regulatory, environmental, food safety, and company standards.

Nice to have

• Cross-functional experience in Production, Supply Chain, Planning, or related functions.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Total Productive Maintenance, World Class Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, or Six Sigma.
