Manager, Application Solutions (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the USA; limited travel to the Chattanooga, Tennessee office approximately once per quarter. Final-round interviews take place onsite in Chattanooga. Must be available during Eastern Time business hours.

What you will do

• Lead multiple teams supporting the Facets and BlueCard ITS/Blue2 healthcare processing platforms.
• Ensure operational excellence, production stability, quality standards, and ongoing compliance.
• Oversee application programming and analysis projects covering development, installation, and maintenance.
• Shape modernization initiatives and future-state strategies for platforms, teams, and technologies.
• Manage relationships with business leaders, technology teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Support professional growth, succession planning, organizational development, and team performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 8 years of systems analysis, design, and project management experience.
• At least 3 years of management or leadership experience.
• Strong healthcare payer operations and application support leadership knowledge.
• Experience with relational databases, data warehousing, service-oriented architecture, and object-oriented architecture patterns.
• Strategic thinking, analytical problem-solving, communication, relationship management, and vendor negotiation skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Facets and Cognizant/TriZetto solutions.
• Experience with the BlueCross BlueShield Association.
• Experience leading complex application support organizations and large-scale modernization programs.
