Engineering Manager (Healthcare)

What you will do

• Manage engineers across multiple Agile teams, including technical leads, with responsibility for coaching, performance management, career development, hiring, and onboarding.
• Own end-to-end delivery across system design, development, testing, and operations.
• Guide cloud-native AWS architectures and data platforms while maintaining scalability, reliability, security, code quality, testing, and observability standards.
• Drive program execution across multiple teams using Agile and SAFe practices, managing dependencies and surfacing risks early.
• Partner with security and program stakeholders on SLA compliance, incident response, root cause analysis, technical tradeoffs, and legislative and contractual priorities.
• Contribute to engineering strategy, organizational design, Communities of Practice, hiring plans, proposals, and client-facing technical conversations.

Requirements

• Experience managing multiple Agile teams simultaneously in a complex delivery environment, including technical leads.
• Experience running the full performance management cycle and hiring engineers at pace.
• Strong AWS and cloud platform experience, with the depth to evaluate architectures.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD and DevSecOps practices, with a record of driving adoption.
• Experience delivering data-intensive systems and pipelines at scale and measurably improving delivery performance.
• US citizenship or a Green Card, at least three years of US residency, and eligibility to obtain Public Trust clearance are required; visa sponsorship is not offered.

Nice to have

• CMS or federal healthcare program experience.
• SAFe, HL7 FHIR, QRDA, C-CDA, Databricks, or large-scale data processing experience.
• FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, Section 508, or WCAG experience.
• Experience managing distributed remote teams and supporting federal proposals or capture activities.
