Associate Director, Client Access Technology

Location: Saint Petersburg, Florida, United States; hybrid work with attendance at a hirify.global office three days per week, including at least one Monday or Friday

What you will do

• Lead the Client Access core engineering team responsible for the digital client experience.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, business stakeholders, and technology teams to define requirements, priorities, solution options, and integrations.
• Direct software development lifecycle initiatives using Agile practices, managing scope, schedules, risks, quality, budgets, and business outcomes.
• Oversee internally developed and vendor-provided solutions, including selection, implementation, integration, performance, and support.
• Manage capacity, staffing, budgets, engineering standards, delivery processes, and team accountability.
• Establish ownership for production support, incident response, root-cause analysis, risk remediation, service improvement, and on-call coverage.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of relevant technology experience, including software development and people-management or technical-leadership experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Knowledge of software engineering, application architecture, system integration, Agile delivery, DevOps, release management, production support, and incident management.
• Experience leading engineering teams and complex software initiatives involving internal and vendor-provided solutions.
• Ability to manage budgets, vendors, staffing, competing priorities, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships.
• Work from a hirify.global office three days per week; this role is not eligible for work visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering and supporting enterprise applications in a complex, regulated environment.
• Financial services experience, particularly with client-facing digital platforms.
• Knowledge of scalable services, APIs, cloud-enabled technologies, observability, and resilient application design.
