What you will do

• Administer and securely scale Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, mail flow, retention, sharing, licensing, and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Manage SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, RBAC, privileged access, identity lifecycle processes, DLP controls, and account audits.
• Manage endpoint enrollment, compliance, security baselines, patching, software deployment, inventory, monitoring, and device lifecycle operations through Intune and an RMM platform.
• Administer Azure, AWS, Windows Server, and Linux environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, hardening, logging, monitoring, backup, and recovery.
• Build PowerShell automation, supplemented by Bash or Python, for provisioning, compliance validation, reporting, configuration management, and routine administration.
• Act as a Tier 3 escalation point, lead multi-system troubleshooting, and collaborate with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, HR, Legal, Engineering, application owners, and vendors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, plus at least five years of progressive systems administration experience.
• Strong experience administering Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Entra ID, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Conditional Access, security groups, RBAC, licensing, and identity lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience with Intune across Windows, macOS, and iOS, as well as Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and RMM concepts.
• Advanced PowerShell automation skills and strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-system issues and use approved AI-assisted tools responsibly in technical workflows.
• Must work from Washington, DC or Columbia, SC.

Nice to have

• Experience with zero-trust architecture, privileged identity management, or Microsoft Purview information protection.
• Experience in regulated or high-assurance environments such as nuclear, energy, defense, or the federal sector.
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53, CMMC, NRC cybersecurity guidance, or 10 CFR 73.54.
• Experience with Bash, Python, Terraform, Ansible, NinjaOne, ITIL, observability, or AIOps platforms.
