IT Manager (Nuclear Energy)

Location: Paducah, Kentucky, United States; onsite support for the growing site, including extended hours and weekends as necessary.

Salary: $180,000–$260,000 base salary per year, plus potential stock options.

What you will do

• Gather requirements, evaluate, design, deploy, and support Microsoft enterprise software platforms and related technologies.
• Manage highly resilient, high-performance, scalable, and flexible IT systems.
• Maintain the health and uptime of critical IT infrastructure.
• Improve infrastructure security, performance, monitoring, and reliability through structured change control.
• Define and document standards and best practices for systems design, testing, and implementation.
• Build automation at scale and collaborate with engineers and internal business units to resolve technical problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering with 3+ years of systems administration experience, or 5+ years of professional systems administration experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience with Active Directory, Kerberos, Entra ID, and multiplatform authentication environments.
• 5+ years of experience configuring, upgrading, managing, and troubleshooting Windows-based systems and services in physical and virtual environments.
• 5+ years of experience monitoring mission-critical enterprise environments.
• Experience with physical and virtualized servers, infrastructure security, performance, and high availability.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Linux administration experience.
• Web, Python, PowerShell, and Bash scripting and build process experience.
• Experience with Ansible, Salt, or Chef.
• Networking experience with IPv4, IPsec VPN, SSL VPN, SD-WAN, switching, routing, firewalls, and high-availability architecture.
