IT Architect, SAP - Hydro Carbon Value Chain (SAP)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States of America; only local candidates will be considered. Relocation is not offered, expatriate assignments are not considered, and employment visa sponsorship is unavailable.

What you will do

• Design, build, and govern end-to-end SAP landscapes, including SAP S/4HANA and ECC environments.
• Translate business strategy and complex requirements into scalable SAP technical architectures and specifications.
• Architect integrations between SAP, third-party, and legacy systems using APIs, middleware, IDocs, and event-driven patterns.
• Govern Clean Core practices and side-by-side extensions on SAP Business Technology Platform.
• Design secure, scalable architectures and oversee system sizing, batch processing, performance, IAM, and access controls.
• Communicate technical trade-offs, costs, limitations, and roadmaps to executives, project managers, developers, and functional consultants.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Business Administration.
• 6–10+ years of hands-on SAP product consulting, systems integration, and functional consulting experience.
• Lead experience on at least 3–4 full end-to-end SAP implementations or cloud migrations.
• Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Public and Private Cloud, SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, RESTful APIs, IDocs, and event-driven integration.
• Knowledge of SAP modules and processes including MM, SD, PP, TSW, TD, IS Oil, and Smart GEP, plus Clean Core, IAM, SSO, and role-based authorization.
• Must be a local candidate in Houston, Texas; relocation is not offered. Expatriate assignments and time-limited visa status are not considered.

Nice to have

• SAP Certified Professional credentials in Solution Architecture for SAP BTP and Enterprise Architecture.
• TOGAF certification or experience with SAP Signavio and LeanIX.
• Experience leading, mentoring, and reviewing technical designs and performing root-cause analysis during outages.
