Senior Nutritional Services Specialist (Animal Nutrition and Health) - Ayr, Canada

Location: Ayr, Canada; extended hours may be required to cover all North American time zones and some US and Canadian statutory holidays.

What you will do

• Formulate and modify premixes for four animal nutrition and health blend plants, completing requests within one day.
• Develop premix labels and maintain formulation, labeling, ingredient, and SharePoint records.
• Assess and approve ingredient sources, maintain ingredient risk and approved-product programs, and develop ingredient specifications.
• Develop NIR testing programs and administer quality assurance for vitamins, trace minerals, and other third-party ingredients.
• Conduct HACCP, FSMA, SHE, and ingredient risk assessments while supporting regulatory compliance under AAFCO and the CFIA Feeds Act.
• Support customers, account management, production, purchasing, technical marketing, and innovation trials; mentor Nutritional Services colleagues.

Requirements

• Master of Science degree specializing in Animal Nutrition.
• Five or more years of feed industry experience, preferably in ingredient quality and premix formulation.
• Mandatory SAP experience.
• Knowledge of feed formulation, feed ingredients, micronutrients, and complete feed requirements for all species.
• Proficiency in statistics and Microsoft Office applications.
• Professional development in change management, leadership, problem resolution, and business communication; NIR technology experience is an advantage.
