Senior Health & Safety Manager (EPCM)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; requires work in active construction and industrial environments, site inspections, remote-location travel, and local and international travel.

Base salary: CAD 115,000–165,000 per year, plus potential performance incentives and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead health and safety programs across regional offices, project sites, and the full EPCM project lifecycle.
• Identify, assess, control, and continuously improve critical health and safety risks.
• Conduct project reviews, site visits, inspections, audits, and field engagements.
• Lead or support significant incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Contribute health and safety expertise to proposals, pre-qualifications, client presentations, and project mobilization.
• Manage regional health and safety resources, coaching, succession planning, and capability development.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of progressive health and safety experience, including major engineering and construction projects in Canada.
• Successful health and safety leadership experience in mining and metals, energy, and infrastructure.
• Canadian citizen or permanent resident status required.
• Degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of Canadian health and safety legislation, EPCM project management, incident investigation, audits, emergency response, and contractor safety.
• Full professional proficiency in English required. Strong communication, leadership, stakeholder engagement, influencing, and coaching skills are expected.

Nice to have

• Professional certification or registration such as CRSP, CSP, CIH, or equivalent.
• French language capability.
• Professional experience with Microsoft Office and general business systems.
