Account Executive Officer, Senior Underwriter, Construction Loss Sensitive

Location: Richardson, Texas, United States

Annual base salary: $120,400–$198,700, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do

• Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of construction loss-sensitive business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts in line with the company’s risk appetite.
• Build relationships with agents, brokers, and internal partners to support sales, retention, and cross-selling.
• Market and sell insurance products through regular in-person meetings with agents and brokers; travel is required.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans and partner with the Managing Director on regional and group sales plans.
• Support training and mentoring for less experienced Account Executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Six to eight years of relevant underwriting experience, including construction loss-sensitive experience.
• Deep knowledge of construction loss-sensitive products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, negotiation, and risk assessment skills.
• CPCU designation.
• At least four years of experience in underwriting, claims, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance.
