Lead Sales Trainer (Retirement Plans)

Location: Work from home in the USA; hybrid office environment with 3 days per week in the office in Baltimore, Cedar Rapids, Philadelphia, or Denver. Occasional travel of less than 10%.

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annually, plus potential annual bonus of 12.5%.

What you will do

• Define, create, and deliver training programs, instructor materials, and assessments for business units.
• Design and facilitate new-hire, product, systems, process, sales skills, and leadership development training.
• Deliver virtual training to regional vice presidents, internal wholesalers, sales desk assistants, account managers, and other sales professionals.
• Develop and evaluate learning management system content and e-learning programs.
• Measure training effectiveness through participant feedback, knowledge acquisition, behavioral change, and business impact.
• Mentor trainers, share best practices, and collaborate with sales, marketing, vendors, and leadership on strategies, materials, and messaging.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent experience.
• At least seven years of learning and development experience.
• Deep knowledge of relevant financial services products, including retirement plans, mutual funds, annuities, life insurance, or employee benefits.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles, advanced documentation and technical writing, and strong communication skills.
• Project management skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Nice to have

• Financial services training experience, particularly with qualified retirement plans.
• CPLP or CRPS certification.
• Instructional design experience.
• Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, or Copilot.
