hirify.global operates Univision KFTV Channel 21, serving and informing Hispanic audiences through broadcast and digital media.

What you will do

• Gather information, conduct interviews, shoot video, and produce, report, and edit assigned news stories.
• Publish videos, photos, and stories on the website, Facebook, and other social media channels.
• Monitor local, state, and national news across the coverage area and build community news contacts.
• Adapt and format digital content for publication.
• Work independently in the field and maintain effective collaboration with colleagues, supervisors, and the community.

Requirements

• At least one year of newsroom experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Complete fluency in English and Spanish, with superior written and spoken Spanish skills.
• Experience using newsroom computer systems, field cameras, production equipment, and editing systems.
• High ethical and journalistic standards, sound judgment under extreme deadlines, and ability to follow direction and apply feedback.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; drive with a valid license and good driving record.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States. Ability to stand, walk, bend, type, edit, reach, and sit for up to eight hours, and lift and carry up to 30 pounds for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of iNews, Avid, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, and file-sharing systems.
