Multimedia Journalist - Part-Time

What you will do

• Report, research, write, voice, shoot, edit, and publish news stories across broadcast and digital platforms.
• Arrange and conduct interviews, review public records and reference materials, and verify relevant facts.
• Evaluate leads, develop story ideas, and pitch locally relevant coverage to news managers and producers.
• Determine story emphasis, length, and format while revising content to meet editorial approval and time requirements.
• Interact with viewers and users on social media and produce special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Fluent English and excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to ad lib when required.
• At least two years of news reporting experience, depending on market size.
• Superior on-air presence and the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and flexibility to work any shift.
