Process Control Technician (DCS/PLC)

Location: Belle, West Virginia, United States; onsite at the Belle plant

Pay range: $35.55–$55.55 per hour; annual bonus target: 4%

What you will do

• Monitor, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot DCS, PLC, and related process control infrastructure.
• Configure control logic, console graphics, databases, data structures, and operator station HMIs.
• Lead control system upgrades, renewals, preventative and predictive maintenance, and lifecycle management.
• Manage process control networks and IT connections, and monitor historian performance and reliability.
• Track and improve alarm management programs and provide day-to-day automation support to operations.
• Support system improvements, safety reviews, audits, Management of Change processes, and compliance with Process Safety Management standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience with instrument/electrical and control system applications, or relevant military experience.
• Excellent DCS and PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and understand single-line, power, P&ID, configuration logic, control schematic, and ladder logic drawings.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, including effective collaboration with operations, technical, engineering, and maintenance functions.
• Proficiency with industrial control system software, diagnostic tools, and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have

• Technical diploma or higher.
• At least 5 years of experience supporting process control systems in a chemical plant regulated by Process Safety Management standards.
• Experience with multiple DCS/PLC software logic variants.
• Experience installing and managing IT networks and servers.
