Controls Technician/Electrician (PLC)

Location: Plant-based manufacturing environment in the United States; travel between plants or to obtain parts may be required.

Salary: $32.25–$42.50 per hour.

What you will do

• Manage plant control field devices, process-control instrumentation, PLC installations, and machine programming.
• Create and maintain PanelView applications for operating programmable machines efficiently.
• Lead reliability and process-variability reduction initiatives across plant machinery.
• Plan maintenance activities, prioritize process-control work, and support technicians across plants.
• Design safer machine components, research efficiency-improving technologies, and maintain technical documentation.
• Coordinate upgrade projects, communicate issues and timelines, and resolve problems with engineers, supervisors, and other team members.

Requirements

• Massachusetts journeyman electrical license required.
• Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Technical associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with PLC and drive programming and troubleshooting, AutoCAD, and CMMS.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and change-management skills.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to operate maintenance tools and lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.
